2017-2018
At the first meet of the season a triangular against Northern State & Augustana Alyssa finished 2
nd in the 400 IM against Northern and 3
rd against Augustana, and 2
nd against both schools in the 200 breaststroke during the first day of competition. On the second day of competition Boese finished 3
rd in the 50 breaststroke against both schools, 2
nd in the 100 backstroke against Northern and 3
rd against Augustana, she finished up the meet with a 3
rd place finish in the 200 IM against Northern State. In the dual meet against Minnesota State University Moorhead, Boese finished 2
nd in the 200 fly, 4
th in the 200 breaststroke, & 3
rd in the 200 IM. Next up was a dual meet against University of Sioux Falls where Boese won both the 100 & 200 backstrokes, and finished 3
rd in the 400 IM. The following day in a dual meet against Augustana Boese was a 3 event winner taking the top honors in the 100 & 200 backstrokes as well as the 200 IM. In the third day of consecutive dual meets Boese took top honors in the 50 backstroke, placed 4
th in the 50 breaststroke, and was victorious in the 200 IM against Northern State. Next up was a dual meet against Concorida College where Boese showed off her versatility winning both the 100 fly & 500 free. At the first invite of the season for the Marauders Boese placed 2
nd in the 200 IM, 4
th in the 200 fly, 2
nd in the 400 IM, was victorious in the 200 backstroke. After the winter break the Marauders competed in the Dragon Invite where Boese placed 3
rd in both the 200 IM & 400 IM, 4
th in the 50 backstroke, & 5
th in the 100 IM. At the 2018 NSIC Championship, The sophomore from Billings, MT, helped the 200 yard medley relay team take the podium for the first time in the UMary program's two-year history. Combining with Zajdzinski, Mackenzie Houston and Karyssa Nelson, the four Marauders combined for a school-record time of 1:49.63 to place seventh in the conference. Boese finished fifth in the finals of the 200 yard individual medley with a school-record time of 2:08.60. She missed third place and league honors by just 1.56 seconds. The second day of the Northern Sun conference swimming championships Alyssa Boese claimed fifth in the 400 IM to establish a new Marauders record with a time of 4:37.95. The sophomore from Billings, MT, placed second in the 200 yard butterfly to earn All-Conference honors. Her time of 2:08.02 set a new school record. Boese teamed with Mary Williamson, Kate Murphy, Andrea Smith and Boese on the 800 free relay to place ninth overall and establish a new Marauders record of 7:58.77. Alyssa Boese finished up the conference meet teaming up with Abbey Zajdzinski, Andrea Smith and Karyssa Nelson on the 400 free relay for an 8
th place finish with a time of 3:38.74. Alyssa Boese had a great second year season with the Marauders and she consistently helped the team scoring in every meet.
2016-2017
Competed in nine dual meets and at the NSIC Conference. MOORHEAD, MN –COBBER’S INVITE– Capturing nine of 12 events, the University of Mary sank Concordia College 137-75 in a non-conference swimming with Alyssa Boese’s stunning results.Â
Alyssa Boese posted a pair of individual wins for the Marauders before combining forces to capture the final relay of the day. Boese started strong with a win in the 200 yard individual medley, capturing the event by nearly nine seconds after finishing in 2:17.72. Elizabeth Moriarty and Murphy collectively were clocked at 4:07.97 in the 400 yard medley relay, eclipsing the Marauders previous best time by 8.45 seconds. Additionally, Boese swam the opening leg in 59.62 seconds to set a school record in the 100 yard backstroke. On day two, the Marauders opened with a new team mark in the 200 yard medley relay as Boese, Mokhtary, Moriarty and Murphy finished the event in 1:53.45 to eclipse the previous best mark by less than a second. Boese followed with one of the top performances for Mary on the weekend, placing sixth in the 400 yard individual medley with a time of 4:43.98, 7.29 seconds better than her previous best. Later Saturday she finished ninth in the 200 yard butterfly with a school mark of 2:11.68. Boese followed with the Marauders best finish of the meet, claiming fourth overall in the 200 yard individual medley when she posted her best time of the season at 2:09.64 to establish another school best. The Marauders closed out the meet on a high note, taking 11
th overall in the 400 yard freestyle relay. Moriarty, Murphy, Nelson and Boese swam a combined time of 3:39.96 to break the school record by over 10 seconds. DRAGON INVITE-
Alyssa Boese equaled the best finish of the meet for the Marauders, placing third in the 200 yard butterfly with a clocking of 2:16.22. Later she picked up a fourth place finish in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:11.75 on the finals). She earned an additional fourth place finish in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:17.39 after powering her way to a mark of 2:14.78 in the preliminaries. The Marauders opened the two-day event with a 4
th place finish in the 200 yard medley relay as the quartet of Boese swimming backstroke, Mokhtary, Moriarty and Murphy registered a time of 1:54.24. Mary closed out the weekend with a fourth place finish in the 400 yard freestyle relay as Moriarty, Murphy, Putti and Boese anchoring the relay teaming up for a clocking of 3:49.35. Marauders are ranked in the top ten of the Northern Sun.Â

Alyssa Boese once again highlighted the Marauders efforts for the second straight day. After finishing seventh on opening day in the 200 yard individual medley, Boese moved up a slot to place sixth in the 400 yard individual medley. The freshman from Billings, MT, swam the 400 yard IM in 3:38.47, a season best-time. Sixth place is also the best individual finish for the Marauders at the NSIC championships. Alyssa Boese led the University of Mary to the program's best day at the school's first conference championship meet. The freshman from Billings, MT, was one of three Marauders to earn top-seven finishes on the day. The top placer for the Marauders each of the first two days, Boese kept her streak alive when she placed fourth in the 200 yard butterfly. After finishing eighth in the preliminaries and was the last qualifier for the A-Finals, Boese improved her time in the finals by over three seconds and posted a career-best time of 2:09.45 to jump four slots. th after recording a time of 2:08.51. For the second straight semester, Alyssa Boese representing the Marauders earned the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team honors after posting a team grade point average of 3.50 during the 2017 spring semester. Alyssa contributed to the program in all the events.
PRIOR TO UMARY
A two-year team captain for the Billings Aquatic Club and a two-year Montana State USA Swimming representative for the Class of 2016, Alyssa Boese placed first at the 2016 Northwest age group sectionals in the 200 IM. The Billings, Mont., native owns numerous state titles and multiple Billings Aquatic Club team records. She earned all-state honors all three years she swam for Skyview High School in Billings and earned all-state academic honors for swimming.

A member of he National Honor Society, the BAC Team captain, and a choir member who will graduate with her school's highest honors, Alyssa is the daughter of Ruth and Garrett Boese and will pursue a nursing degree at the University of Mary.
