BROOKINGS, SD – High jumpers
Sam Mackedanz and
Jack Lamb highlighted the second-day efforts for the University of Mary men's track & field team at the SDSU Indoor Classic.
Mackedanz and Lamb both cleared the bar at 1.97 meters to tie for sixth overall in the high jump. Mackedanz, who hit his first two efforts of the day cleanly, cleared 1.97 on his third attempt. Lamb, who missed his first attempt at each of the opening two heights, needed a third attempt at 1.97 before clearing the height and moving on.
Shenley Allen was right behind in the high jump at 1.92 meter to place ninth.

Sam Wilke ran a lifetime best of 1:55.85 in the men's 800 meters.
Beau Nutting went 13.80 meters in the triple jump to claim 14
th.
On Friday,
Kevin Carpenter placed ninth in the 5,000 meter run.
Luxon Glor posted a clocking of 22.08 in the men's 200 meters for a lifetime best, placing him seventh overall and tops among Northern Sun competitors.
Zack Graves had the Marauders to effort in the long jump at 6.57 meters with
Dallas Horner right behind at 6.53 meters. The pair finished 12-13 overall.
The Marauders next compete at the UND High Performance Center in Grand Forks, ND, on Saturday, Feb. 18, for the team's last regular-season indoor competition.
Momentum continues to build towards the Northern Sun Indoor Track & Field Championships in two weeks in Mankato, MN, on February 24-25, 2017.
