MANKATO, Minn. - Two NCAA provisional qualifying marks by a pair of All-Americans and four runner-up finishes headline the 11
th ranked University of Mary women's track & field team accomplishments at the Ted Nelson Classic, hosted by Minnesota State University.
Competing in three different events, All-American
Tonie-Ann Pandohie placed second in the 60 meter hurdles with an NCAA provisional qualifying effort, finished third in the 200 and sixth in the 60.
The native of Kingston, Jamaica, had her strongest effort in the 60 meter hurdles. She cleared the barriers in a season-best time of 8.64 seconds. Pandohie finished the 60 meter dash in 7.90 seconds and the 200 in 25.42 seconds.
Davina Carr, an All-American in the pole vault, sailed 12' 5.5" to place third at the event. Her height was an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Carr currently ranks third in the entire nation.
Chante Spotser, a freshman from Federal Way, Washington, claimed runner-up status in two different events. She ran the 400 meter dash in 58.58 seconds to place second. Additionally Spotser anchored the 4x400 meter relay team with
Josie Guptill, Julie Hammerschmidt and
Maria Bolibruch that took second in a time of 3:59.04
In the high jump, senior
Molly McDonald cleared the bar at 5-4.50 to place second. She later claimed seventh in the 60 meter hurdles (9.10 seconds).
Bolibruch was fourth in the 60 meter hurdles (8.87 seconds).
Josie Guptill snared third in the 600 meter run with a time of 1:36.74 while
Jaiden Schuette was fourth in the 800 meter run in a clocking of 2:20.87.
Katelynn Engh took third in the one mile run, finishing the event in 5:18.50.
In the long jump, freshman
Kylie Pastian was sixth in the long jump with an effort of 5.23 meters. She was seventh in the triple jump at 11.15 meters.
Faith Kjelstrup had her best finish of the day in the triple jump, posting a mark of 11.20 meters.
The Marauders next return to action February 12 at the South Dakota State Classic in Brookings, S.D.
