Davina Carr broke her own school record with another NCAA automatic qualifying mark and
Tonie-Ann Pandohie won the 60 meter hurdles in an NCAA provisional qualifying time to headline the 15
th ranked University of Mary women's indoor track & field efforts over the weekend.
Carr led a contingent of Marauders who competed at the Thundering Herd Classic in Fargo, N.D., while Pandohie ran at the SDSU Indoor Classic in Brookings, S.D.
SDSU INDOOR CLASSIC HIGHLIGHTS
In a highly competitive field, Pandohie posted her best time of the season in the 60 meter hurdles. The sophomore All-American from Kingston, Jamaica, cleared the barriers in a provisional qualifying time of 8.62 seconds to win the SDSU Indoor Classic event.
THUNDERING HERD CLASSIC RESULTS
Davina Carr set a new school record with an NCAA automatic qualifying height. The All-American from Nine Mile Falls, Wash., placed first with a mark of 13-03.50.
Alexis Zeis earned the mile run title with a time of 4:51.63. The All-American from Bismarck, N.D., won the event by 5.71 seconds.
Faith Kjelstup had a big day, winning one event and placing in the top six of four events. In her best effort of the day, the Glendive, Mont., All-American won the triple jump after sailing 37-10.50. She claimed second in the 60 meter dash, posting a time of 7.86 seconds. The senior was fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.05 seconds, and closed out her day by placing sixth in the long jump with a distance of 16-08.75.
Josie Guptill posted a time of 59.66 seconds to place third in the 400 meter dash.
In the long jump,
Jasmyn Garcia placed fourth with a top mark of 16-09.75. She would also claim sixth in the triple jump at 32-06.25.
The Marauders next compete at the Bemidji State Twilight on February 19.
