BISMARCK, N.D. - Head coach of the University of Mary women's tennis team,
Vida Saliendra added two student-athletes to the 2017 roster Monday, Nov. 14.

Kelsey Lajom (Fr., Murrieta, Calif. / Murrieta Valley High School)
A three-time All-Conference tennis player from Murrieta, Calif., Lajom will join the Marauders after finishing her high school career at Murrieta Valley. Lajom who is a powerful player, played doubles most of the high school career and won the 2016 Southwestern League Doubles Championship and had an undefeated record in the league.

Her team won the Southwestern League Championship four years in a row from 2013-2016. She was named the 2014 and 2016 Most Valuable Player in doubles competition and received First Team All-Conference in those same years. She also received 2015 Second Team All-Conference honors and was named 2015 All Inland Valley Girls Honorable Mention.

The daughter of Derick and Kathy Lajom, Kelsey will pursue a degree in Pre-Medicine while attending the University of Mary.

Maura Stevenson (Fr. Woodbury, Minn. / Woodbury High School)
A two-time team captain and two-time All-Conference player, Stevenson will bring her consistency to the tennis court for the Marauders in the 2017 season.

Stevenson was a four-time letter winner in tennis and made all-conference her junior and senior years.

Her high school team was also an all-conference team her junior season.
Â
She has played singles in high school and played in a competitive conference in the Minneapolis area.

The daughter of Michael and Patricia Stevenson, Maura intends on majoring in Business Administration at the University of Mary.
