JAMESTOWN, N.D. – Entered in three events, freshman
Tonie Pandohie won them all to lead the University of Mary women's outdoor track & field team at the Al Cassell Relays. Overall the Marauders captured eight of the 19 events.
Pandohie, a native of Kingston, Jamaica, won the 200 meter dash in a time of 26.14 and then captured the 100 meter hurdles in 15.47 seconds. She concluded the day by running a leg on the winning 4x100 meter relay team. Competing with her on the relay squad were
Faith Kjelstrup,
Cassandra Jones and
Sommer Haugrud.
Kjelstrup was a double winner. Besides the 4x100, she captured the long jump with a leap of 5.47 meters. The junior from Glendive, Mont. was third in the 100 meter dash.
Kameya Johnson won the 400 meter dash in 58.94. Taking the 800 meter run in 2:16.55 was
Brienna Lynch.
In the remaining field events,
Davina Carr captured the pole vault after clearing a high of 11' 7".
Jasmyn Garcia edged teammate
Steph Braunagel for the victory in the triple jump with a distance of 11.40 meters.
The Marauders will compete at two events next weekend, first at North Dakota State
Friday, May 1, and the Ron Masanz meet at MSU Moorhead on Saturday, May 2.
