NORWALK, California – For the second straight day, University of Mary women's outdoor track & field student-athlete
Danylle Kurywchak put on a show in a visit back to her home state. The California native once again captured a triple jump title while facing a lineup filled with NCAA Division I competitors.
After scratching on her first attempt at the Beach Invitational, hosted by Long Beach State University, Kurywchak connected on her second with an explosive leap of 41' 5.25" to win the triple jump. One day after breaking her own school record, the native of Cameron Park, California, settled for an NCAA provisional qualifying mark against a field of 47 mainly NCAA Division I athletes. She also placed 20
th in the long jump )17' 11.5".
Kathryn Stewart blazed her way to a seventh place finish in the 400 meter dash, running the event in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 55.40 seconds. She was the top NCAA Division II runner in the event.
In the 100 meter hurdles, freshman
Tonie Pandohie placed 12
th. The top NCAA Division II finisher posted a provisional qualifying time of 14.21 seconds. She also ran a time of 12.46 seconds in the 100 meter dash.
Brienna Lynch claimed 46
th out of 122 in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:14.28.
Crystal Hovland posted the 22
nd best mark among 64 contestants in the 400 meter hurdles, crossing the barriers in 1:03.22.
Cassandra Jones claimed 26
th place out of 120 when she completed the 200 meter dash in 24.82 seconds.
In the 5,000 meter run, Katelyn Engh posted a mark of 17:53.21 while
Kaycie Stewart ran a 18:19.08.
