Stewart Tears It Up at Thundering Herd Classic

RESULTS

Fargo, ND – All-American Kathryn Stewart set a new school record and was one of four University of Mary women's indoor track and field athletes to post a national provisional qualifying time at the Thundering Herd Classic hosted by North Dakota State University.
 
Stewart tore up NDSU's new facility by winning her first ever 60 meter dash in a provisional qualifying and school record time of 7.71. It was also an arena record in just the second meet held at the brand new NDSU facility. The native of Kingston, Jamaica, later placed second in the 200 meter dash in 24:78.
 
Junior All-American Janet Johnson won the 60 meter hurdles in a national provisional qualifying time of 8.95 seconds.
 
Bri Lynch won the 800 meter run with a provisional qualifying mark of 2:16.89.
 
Senior All-American Jennifer Agnew also posted a provisional qualifying mark when she won the 3,000 meter run in a time of 10:02.44.
 
A second U-Mary record also fell today when sophomore Crystal Hovland blasted through the 600 meter run in a time of 1:34.79.
 
Melissa Walker claimed a win in the long jump when she edged teammate Brittney McKinley 11.19 meters to 11.04. Walker then placed second in the triple jump.
 
Ranked 8th in the country, the Marauders compete next weekend at the Iowa State Classic and the NDSU Bison Open.
