New Orleans – Headlined by Kathryn Stewart, seventeen members of the University men's and women's track and field team combined to earn 28 All-Region citations from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Thirteen members of the women's team and four from the men's squad were honored by the USTFCCCA.
 
A freshman from Kingston. Jamaica, Stewart was recognized for her efforts in the 200 and 400 meter dashes and as a member of U-Mary's 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams. Her four selections was the most by any U-Mary student-athlete.
 
Overall, seven Marauders earned multiple awards.
 
The top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three have earned the All-Region distinction for the 2012 outdoor season.
