Tribute for legendary wrestling coach Milo Trusty set for Saturday, April 6

BISMARCK, ND - The University of Mary is honoring local legend Milo Trusty with a night of fellowship, stories and dinner on Saturday, April 6, as the former Marauders coach is celebrated for his long-lasting impact on the wrestling community.
 
Open to the public, the Milo Trusty Tribute will be held at Founders Hall in the University of Mary's Lumen Vitae University Center. A social starts at 5:30 pm, followed by dinner at 6:30 pm. The cost is $40 for adults and $15 for youth (12 and under). A table of eight is $300 and a Sponsor Table for eight is $400. Go to www.GoUMary.com/Milo to register for the event.

Milo Trusty, a Mandan, ND, native, was the state wrestling champion in 1963 for Mandan High School. Wrestling has remained an integral part of Trusty's life. From 1971 to 1973 he coached at Umpqua Community College in Oregon and was co-head coach at Bismarck State College from 1973 to 1975. He was the first wrestling coach at Century High School in Bismarck from 1975 to 1977 and founded the Mat Pac Wrestling Club in 1978, a competitive wrestling club focused on technique and conditioning.
 
From 1987 to 2002, Trusty was the first wrestling coach at the University of Mary. During his time with the Marauders, his dual record was 120-5. Under Coach Trusty, the Marauders were the NAIA national runners-up in 1996 and 1997 and placed in the top four six times. Trusty coached 12 NAIA individual national champions and 78 All-Americans.
 
Trusty currently resides in Colorado and remains active with the wrestling community. As assistant wrestling coach, he occasionally takes over wrestling practice at Windsor High School, where his son, Monte, is the head coach.

For families with children who need childcare, child care is provided free of charge in the Lumen Vitae University Center for children who are not attending dinner. If children 12 years of age and younger will attend dinner, please purchase a youth ticket for $15 using the registration button above.

Blocks of rooms have been set aside at Expressway Suites and Ramkota Hotel. Mention the University of Mary Coach Milo event to receive your special rate.
 
TABLE SPONSORSHIPS
Table sponsorship places your sponsorship name on a table and you'll receive recognition at the event. The table sponsorship registration also guarantees your family, employees, or friends the opportunity to sit together at a reserved table during dinner. You will receive eight tickets for your guests. Only the Table Sponsorship and Table of 8 registrations guarantee reserved seating.
